When our parents Jenny and Paul Dhont first set foot in the shop in Oudburg in 1966, Schoenen Boonants had already been a well-known name in Ghent for two decades. So they continued to nurture it.
The shop itself underwent several major renovations to improve service and the shopping experience for customers. The available floor space was quadrupled, greatly increasing the range and choices for women and men.

Our parents loved dancing. They turned their hobby into something of a profession by specialising in dance shoes since the 1980s. Salsa and tango dancers, among others, who only want to glide across the dance floor on quality shoes, are still in the right place today.
Because now that the next generation is at the helm, the story of Boonants Schoenen continues.
